Been hitting them all time low weigh ins on a DAIILYYYY in the words of lui marco I’ve honestly been dropping weight like mad and seeing drastic differences in my physique every morning- although I’m still fluffy as fck relative to physique industry standard Not even 2 cinnabons pre workout could help me maintain my performance- a few days ago I was benching 105 & 100 easily now it’s a damn struggle haha – I understand that due to such low calories and all the work I’ve been putting in I’m completely depleted more specifically I’m referring to my glycogen stores- I know and all other coaches know full well a cheat meal/refeed/high calorie meal will take a good few hours atleast to replenish stores enough to have a positive effect on performance– so basically this was expected. It’s a shame tomorrow is an off day because the higher calories today will definitely have an effect tomorrow. I still feel amazing after the meal mentally though and I’m content with that haha- if your thi...

Some good info here in regards to meak frequency and nutrient timing #Repost @themusclephd with @repostapp The second lesson in this week’s Muscle PhD Academy investigates a very controversial topic! Meal frequency and body composition. This study looked at individuals that either ate 5 times/day 3-4 times/day or 1-2 times/day. What did they find? Statistically meal frequency DID NOT matter in regards to body composition! Body fat loss was the same across all eating patterns. Surprisingly enough there was a trend for 1-2 meals to cause the most body fat loss. The take home message is that when your goal is fat loss eat for when it’s convenient for you. You don’t have to eat 5 times/day because you think it’s going to “increase your metabolism.” The research shows that when in a calorie deficit body fat loss is the same regardless of the meal frequency. Remember to tune in tomorrow for more from The Muscle PhD Academy! And don’t forget about the Facebook LIVE Q&A tomorrow afterno...

Broke my fast with this today You can’t really tell BUT that’s two huge chicken breasts (450g) 450g sweet potato fries with the ketchup & Mayo it came to around 1100 calories and 110 protein Bit of a ‘bro’ meal right there haha- I cooked that chicken for 40 mins on the lowest heat and it came out juicy af I eat this at around 1pm and the reason I broke my fast so early is because I wanted to eat the majority of my calories early on. I’ve been eating 700-900 calories extra a day BUT burning an extra 700-900 through cardio.. The reason being is I read a good article looking at the research on people maintaining weight after a diet and the majority of the research found eating more and doing more (expending more energy) was a more successful approach than eating less and doing less. SO I decided to test it on myself and I’ve been feeling great.. Getting stuff done on the cardio & getting to eat hella food BUT my weight has plateaued for the last 8 days.. NOW its normal when diet...
